The Trust comprising thirteen trustees hailing from reputed socioeconomic background was registered under Indian Trust Act with Registration No. 2165/2000.
The hospital was the vision of Dr. Debi Prasad Goswami, a veteran surgeon and father of Dr. Kuntal Goswami, and Dr. Nivedita Goswami, a distinguished pediatrician and wife of Dr. Kuntal Goswami. Dr. D. P. Goswami is the Chairman of the Trust and Dr. Nivedita Goswami is the Managing Trustee. Initially they started with awareness camps for various diseases, reaching out to the rural denizens. While conducting the camps, interaction with the people from different sections of life brought out various requirements which were how the hospital came into being.
